Instructions for Fine Stropping Paste:
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Step 2: Prep the Leather Strop
Ensure the leather strop is clean and devoid of any particles. If necessary, apply a small amount of paste evenly onto its surface. A little paste suffices.
Step 3: Apply the Paste
Using your finger or an implement, take a small portion of Bear's Stropping Paste. Spread or rub it gently onto the leather strop's surface, ensuring even coverage along the length where the blade will contact.
Step 4: Stropping Technique
Maintain a consistent angle as you press the blade against the leather strop's surface. With fluid and controlled movements, draw the blade across the strop, moving away from the cutting edge. Apply uniform pressure and alternate sides regularly for consistent sharpening.
Step 5: Assess and Repeat as Needed
Evaluate the blade's sharpness post-stropping. If necessary, repeat the stropping process, adjusting pressure or angle as required for optimal results. Delicacy and patience often yield superior outcomes.
Step 6: Clean and Preserve
After achieving the desired sharpness, remove any excess paste from both the blade and strop. Store Bear's Stropping Paste in a cool, dry place, shielded from direct sunlight, for future use.

We pride ourselves on always processing your orders as fast as possible. On this page and we aim to explain all of the delivery options available to you if ordering online, so please read through them carefully and choose the option that will best meet your needs.
If you pay our store via PayPal, then we will only deliver to the address provided to us by PayPal. Any errors in the information supplied are at the sole responsibly of the customer.
The company (us) shall not be held liable for delays with delivery of goods caused by third parties. In the event of a lost package we will require up to 14 business days before being able to replace or credit for any lost goods.

We offer options for UK Mainland (Zones A & B)

- Age Verification - included where applicable.
Zones C & D - Offshore Destinations* Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey, Isle of Scilly will be by courier for large items between 2-5kg at £12.95
Overnight & Express Delivery
Overnight delivery is not available for Zones C & D Highlands and Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey, Isle of Scilly.
If chosen as a shipping option we will dispatch asap. However, we cannot 100% guarantee delivery in the timescale stated due to issues that may arise during the delivery process that are beyond our control. Shipping charges will therefore not be refunded
Please note Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays are not working days.
Your order will arrive usually the following working day between 9am and 6pm.
Overnight Courier orders need to be placed before the cut off time of 1pm during the working week. Orders placed on a weekend will not be fulfilled until the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday
Age Restricted Items
Due to a new law governing the supply and delivery of bladed items, such items will be shipped on Express Delivery using DPD, Royal Mail & Parcelforce Couriers who will ask to see valid ID on the doorstep before releasing your item (i.e. Driving license, Passport)
Non Delivery
Genuine postal losses are rare in the UK, in most cases orders have been returned to us by the post office as simply uncollected when buyers have reported items as undelivered.
Please check with your local delivery office before contacting us about non-delivery. Where items are returned to us we will contact you and a postage charge will be made before items can be redelivered.
Age Verification
It is illegal to sell knives or crossbows to anyone under the age of 18. Your age will be checked in the background before dispatched. We will contact you via email & text message if we require more information.
